Jennifer Metzger Stinnett

Overview of Experience and Nature of Practice:

Jenny has a broad range of experience practicing in the areas of business litigation, healthcare litigation, employment litigation, contract drafting and analysis, and providing general counsel advice for both small and large businesses. Jenny has a long history of representing institutional pharmacies and rehabilitation companies, banks, creditors, and businesses and business owners in all aspects of commercial disputes. Jenny also has experience in representing clients in front of multiple professional and regulatory boards.

Life Beyond the Law

Jenny enjoys spending her time away from the office working out, experiencing Louisville’s foody scene, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family (which usually involves watching her three children playing sports or performing).

Professional Accolades: After graduating from law school, Jenny served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Chief U.S. District Judge John G. Heyburn, II, of the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. After that, Jenny worked for three years as a litigation associate at Jones Day in Washington, D.C., an international law firm. In 2021, Jenny was appointed to serve on the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United Stated District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Louisville Business First recognized Jenny in 2021 as one of the “20 People to Know in Law.” In 2013, 2014, and 2015, Jenny was named to the Kentucky Rising Stars list. In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, Jenny was named to the Kentucky Super Lawyers list. Jenny was included in The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation in both 2024 and 2025.

Community Involvement: Jenny is very active in the Louisville community. She is a parishoner at St. Agnes Catholic Church and teaches Children’s Church. She is on the Holy Cross High School Board of Directors, where she attended high school. She is a member of the Fillies, the Notre Dame Club of Louisville, and the Legal Aid Society of Louisville, where she was the firm’s representative for the Associates Campaign from 2007 to 2010. Jenny just recently completed two consecutive three year terms on the Little Way Pregnancy Resource Center Board of Directors. Jenny was a 2018 recipient the Catholic Education Foundation’s Salute to Alumni Award.
