Employment Law
In the employment law context, firms typically represent either employers or employees. At FMD, we represent both – giving us a unique 360 degree perspective which allows us to capitalize on our clients’ strengths and our adversaries’ weaknesses.
On the employer side, FMD protects our clients’ rights by pursing enforcement of non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, and protecting trade secrets. We also help our clients avoid disputes and minimize exposure when disputes cannot be avoided, including representing businesses in administrative proceedings, defending lawsuits in state and federal courts, drafting and enforcing non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and providing day-to-day employment law advice.
On the employee side, FMD represents executives, professionals, doctors, managers, and an array of other employees in resolving disputes involving compensation (executive severance, bonuses, incentive pay), non-compete agreements, retaliation, workplace harassment, wrongful termination, age discrimination, and sex discrimination.
