We have been privileged to serve as national counsel for multiple publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trusts. We also represent other large corporations, small business owners, and individuals in matters that include purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing transactions, development transactions, and general asset management matters – with a particular emphasis on healthcare properties such as senior housing facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and medical office buildings. Our experience includes complex multi-state purchase and sale and master lease transactions, although we also represent clients in small single property transactions. We also help our clients with the small day-to-day transactions that allow their businesses to function: contracting with customers, suppliers, service vendors in ways that protect their interests if things don’t go as planned.
FMD’s corporate group represents clients in general corporate matters, including entity formation and the preparation and negotiation of operating and control documentation, and in the acquisition and disposition of business entities. We also represent both lenders and borrowers in lending transactions as part of our finance practice.
